The objective
of this service is to provide the wedding couple with a professional
performance of their wedding ceremony music.
The following
is a summary of how this is achieved and what is provided
1. Free
Consultation and on going support and advice are given to the Bride and Groom
in relation to music
matters for the ceremony, up until the wedding takes place.
2 As far as is
possible I will accommodate the couple with any special request they may have
for their
ceremony. It must however be borne in mind that not all songs requested these
days are suitable for
performance in a church, but where possible I will accommodate you.
3. Arrival in the church not later than two hours
prior to the commencement of the wedding.
4 I supply a
Ketron Professional keyboard for weddings which has excellent church organ
sounds on board.
If there is
a well maintained organ in the church and the couple have a preference for it
to be played then
this shall be the case.
5. I supply my own sound System, which has to set up
and sensitively set in order to guarantee that the audio
reception is perfect
Please
Note Loudness is not the order of the day but rather an unobtrusive
pleasant sound is what’s
required and what is provided
6. I play continuous back ground music of a suitable
nature (light classical or quiet hymns) as guests start
to arrive at the church. This continues until ten minuets before the arrival of
the Bride. This
ten minuets is used to make sure that all things from the musical point of view
are in order and in
readiness for the commencement of the wedding ceremony.
7. Performance of the Wedding ceremony repertoire as
agreed at the time of booking.
8. After the song choice for the signing of the
register is played, I continue to play background music while church
photographs are been taken.
9 Upon receipt
of the signal from the photographer that he has completed his work I play the chosen piece for the couples exit for the church.
10. A typed list for the wedding is provided for the
celebrant and is left on the alter prior to the commencement of the wedding. This ensures no
confusion between the celebrant and the musician and makes for a smooth professional
ceremony.
